Cleaning an Oven

Cleaning an oven can be a time-consuming and potentially toxic task, but it doesn’t have to be. Here’s a quick and natural way to get your oven looking like new:

  1. Remove the oven racks and any other removable parts, and soak them in hot, soapy water. This will loosen any baked-on grime and make them easier to clean later.
  2. Mix together equal parts baking soda and water to form a paste. Spread the paste all over the inside of the oven, including the door and the sides.
  3. Let the paste sit for at least an hour, or preferably overnight. This will allow the paste to penetrate and loosen any tough stains.
  4. Wipe the paste away with a damp sponge or cloth. You may need to use a little elbow grease to remove any stubborn stains.
  5. Rinse the inside of the oven with a cloth or sponge dipped in warm water.
  6. Dry the inside of the oven with a clean cloth, and replace the oven racks and other parts.
  7. If you have a self-cleaning oven, you can use the self-cleaning cycle to finish the job. This will cause any remaining bits of grime to burn off, leaving your oven looking like new.

By using this natural, baking soda-based cleaning method, you can avoid using harsh chemicals that can be harmful to your health and the environment. And with a little bit of patience, you can easily get your oven looking clean and shiny without spending hours scrubbing.
